WHERE IT BEGAN

A builder's instinct
in a world of binders

When large vendors handed clients thick binders of architecture diagrams, Atlas handed them a working prototype and let the product speak. The formula was simple: sell to the business, show the end state, earn trust before writing a single line of production code.

That approach worked for Heineken, Verizon, and Dell. But delivering IP for others and walking away every time was a habit that had to break. The next chapter had to be owned.

THE FOUNDING QUESTION

What if a directory could be created at the click of a mouse?

 A major health plan was printing provider directories quarterly, stale the moment they shipped. When the New York Attorney General levied fines for data inaccuracy, most organizations moved on. Atlas founder Venugopala Chalamala asked a different question. That question became PRIME®.

The moment Atlas stopped
consulting and started building

For our first client, instead of another build-and-handoff, Atlas proposed something they had never heard: own the IP, build the product, charge only for what's used.

The Provider Data Validation module, the first major component of PRIME®, was born under that agreement. A SaaS model before the term was common in healthcare.
